“Experiential travel” means using all of your senses and valuing the experiences you actually have over what you have been told you should be doing by someone else.
We all enjoy different things and our travel should reflect this.
Our preferences should be our guide.
Traveling is always a new experience, but when you feel the place instead of just looking at it, you have captured experiential travel and sometimes the simplest moments during our travels can provide the greatest memories and experiences. Some years ago, while in Australia, I took the train into the Blue Mountains and found a lovely café with an inspiring massage painted on the wall. This message has guided me in so many ways and I have attached a copy of the essay.
Another moment was in Dublin, two years ago, when I was bumped off my flight and enjoyed a local’s river dance festival in the park.
Daily life of the place became my greatest memory.
If you have a passion for art and painting, this would offer a wonderful opportunity to experience an art themed cruise with beautiful scenery and iconic images that truly will provide experiential travel.
Whether you are an accomplished painter or a beginner, the beautiful scenery in Europe, New England or the Mediterranean areas will provide the perfect setting.
All levels of experience is welcome and each artist can decide which venue or image they would most like to paint during their painting sessions ashore.
Some of the benefits….
- Painting sessions ashore
- Art Show on board
- Private Painting venue onboard ship
- Travel with other artists
- Showcase your work at an art reception
- The experience would provide a work of art that can be sold at either art shows or kept as a special memory from this experience
- The trip may be tax deductible
